Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment Requirements

There are General and Specific requirements. The general requirements refer to those requirements every candidate is expected to fulfill while the Specific requirements are those expected of candidates opting to apply for a particular department within the force.

General Requirements for Job Vacancies in NCS 2022

a) Must be a Nigerian Citizen by birth or descent
b) Not less than 1.7 metres in height for males and 1.64 metres for females
c) Have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.89metres
d) Be certified by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for appointment in the Service
e) Not be suffering from any physical or mental disability
f) Be free from any form of financial embarrassment
g) Be of good character and must not be found guilty of any criminal offense
i) Must not be above 30 years old
j) Have a certificate of state of origin signed by Chairman/Secretary of their Local Governments. Certificates endorsed by Liaison Officers will not be accepted.
k) Must possess a BSc/HND certificate in the area of discipline
l) Must also have his/her NYSC discharge certificate, and certificate number or exemption letter.
Note: Candidates will be assessed and recruited (if successful) strictly based on Certificate(s)  presented during the process. Any false declaration will lead to automatic disqualification and prosecution. Furthermore, no case of upgrading will be entertained before or after the recruitment.
