NYSC Mobilization Requirements

To ensure a smooth registration process, prospective corps members must strictly adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Have a functional email address and Nigerian (GSM) telephone number for registration. These details will be used to log in to the NYSC portal, so they should be kept secure.

2. Locally trained prospective corps members should use the correct matriculation numbers for registration.

3. Only locally-trained graduates whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their institutions will have access to register on the NYSC portal.

4. Foreign-trained prospective corps members should refer to the FOREIGN TRAINED MOBILIZATION REQUIREMENTS for specific requirements.

5. Individuals presenting fake documents will be demobilized, decamped, and handed over to law enforcement agencies for prosecution.

6. Passport photographs used must meet specific specifications:

  • The face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and jaw) must be fully visible without bending.
  • The picture should fill the frame and be centralized.
  • The photo background should be white or off-white without any shadows.

7. Registration by proxy is strictly prohibited. Prospective corps members should also remember the fingers used for biometric capturing, as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps. Those who cannot be verified with their biometrics will not be registered.

8. Prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent via SMS and wish to print their call-up letters online are expected to pay N2,786.24 (see NYSC Portal for payment details).

9. Those who do not wish to pay online can collect their call-up numbers and letters from their schools.

10. Those who previously paid for online registration but were not mobilized need not pay again.

11. Married female prospective corps members (locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage certificates, evidence of name change, and their husband’s place of domicile during registration.

12. Pregnant and nursing mothers are advised not to attend the orientation camp, as accommodation will not be provided.

14. All part-time graduates are required to finalize their registration online and obtain their exclusion letters online.
