The registration site at portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1 is presently accepting applications.

This website will be used to apply for the National Youth Service Corps and to be a member of the corps.

This guide will show you how to successfully register for NYSC on the official registration portal.

So take this instruction carefully because it has all the information you require.

The deadline for NYSC registration has yet to be declared. So keep reading to find out more about the National Youth Service Corps application process and the chances available to you.

  • Do not apply through any other website than the official NYSC registration page to prevent falling into the wrong hands.
  • Please be aware that after the NYSC registration deadline has passed, the National Youth Service Corps may decide not to prolong the registration process. So, if you want to be secure, apply before the deadline.

Requirements For Registration/Mobilization Of Graduates

Prospective corps members should take the following precautions to guarantee a smooth registration process:

  • Before completing the registration process, prospective Corps members should double-check that their e-mail addresses and phone numbers are valid. However, they will need the email address and password to access the NYSC site in the future, so keep them secure.
  • Prospective Corps members who have received local training are asked to register using the right matriculation numbers.
  • Only those whose names appear on the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists supplied by their Institutions will have access to the NYSC registration portal for locally trained graduates.
  • Prospective corps members who are foreign-trained or who have obtained online degrees should check to see if their institutions are authorized. They should seek an assessment from the Federal Ministry of Education. During registration, they must upload the letter of assessment.
  • Those who graduated from institutions outside of Nigeria (foreign-trained graduates) or got online international certificates must register on the NYSC website and upload the documents below.

1. West African School Certificate (WASC) or it’s equivalent; or General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) or its equivalent; or NECO (with not less than 5 credits at 2 sittings) or it’s equivalent; or High School Diploma or its equivalent.

2. Certificate of a first degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) (Second Degree or Ph.D. is not necessary).

3. Official First Degree or HND Transcript in its entirety.

4. International travel passport with personal information page and departure date.

5. TESTIMONIALS OR ATTESTATION LETTERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN PLACE OF ORIGINAL DEGREE/HND CERTS.

6. To enroll in their courses, all working-class graduates and graduates of online foreign qualifications must upload their authentic ADMISSION LETTERS and LETTER OF APPROVAL from their respective companies.

7. All graduates of medical school and other health-related programs, such as nursing science, laboratory science, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and so on, must have a current professional license and upload it.

A license that has expired is ineligible for mobilization.

Other Requirements

 

  • Prospective corps members who studied in non-English-speaking countries are responsible for having their certificates and transcripts translated into English before uploading. However, they must complete this type of translation at approved institutions or embassies.
  • Certificates of Registration with professional bodies are required for all graduates of medicine, veterinary medicine, physiotherapy, radiology, optometry, medical laboratory science, and pharmacy. Receipts of payments are not accepted.
  • Unlike in the past, foreign-trained graduates are not required to visit NYSC Headquarters in Abuja for document verification. This activity will now take place at Orientation Camps. They could just print their call-up letters from the internet and report to the Orientation camps in their states of deployment, but they should bring the actual papers they uploaded for verification.
  • Anyone who submits a forged document will be demobilized and decamped and will be handed over to law enforcement for punishment.
  • Prospective corps members should check that their passport photos match the following requirements:
  1. Without bending, make sure your entire face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and jaw) is visible.
  2. Make sure it centered the image and fills the frame.
  3. Make sure the background of the photo is white or off-white with no shadows.
  • Prospective corps members should never register using a PROXY. They should also keep in mind the fingers that were used to capture their biometrics since it will utilize them for verification during the orientation sessions. They will not enroll those whose biometrics they cannot validate during the orientation camp.
  • Only N2,786.24 is required from potential corps members who want their call-up numbers provided to them through SMS and who want to PRINT their call-up letters online.
  • Prospective Corps members who do not wish to pay the N2,786.24 can obtain their call-up numbers and letters by attending their schools.
  • They do not need prospective corps members who previously paid for online registration but were not mobilized to pay again.
  • During registration, married female potential corps members (whether locally or internationally trained) should submit copies of their marriage certificates, proof of name change, and their husband’s residence.
  • They do not recommend the orientation camp for expecting or nursing mothers. As a result, prospective corps members in this group should be aware that they will not be accepted.
  • Prospective corps members with mobilization issues who graduated from institutions in the following Geo-Political Zones should contact the following Telephone Numbers.

  • All part-time graduates are required to register online and wait for their letters of Exclusion to be collected from their respective institutions. Those who would want to publish the Letter of Exclusion online can do so for N2,786.24 only.
  • During online registration, foreign-trained graduates must utilize Nigerian phone numbers.

NYSC Online Registration Procedure

1. Visit the NYSC registration site at portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/ to register.

2. On the NYSC registration page, create an account with your working email address.

3. Click the activation link delivered to the email address you provided during account creation to activate your newly established account.

4. Fill in the blanks with your information.

5. Capture biometric information. This should not be done using a proxy.

6. Upload a passport photo with a white backdrop that is clean and clear.

7. Review your registration form to check that all the information is right.

8. Accept the terms and conditions of registration.

9. Sign with a digital signature scanner or upload a scanned signature.

10. Press the submit button.

11. Save your login information for future use.

NOTE:

  • If this is your first time registering, select “Registration for Mobilization.”
  • Do not establish a new account if you have already registered but have not completed your registration. Instead, use your old Username and Password to continue your registration by clicking “Login Here.”
  • If you were mobilized in prior batches and have already registered online but could not attend Orientation Camp, click the “Revalidation” option to have your registration re-validated.

You will receive an email notice after you have finished your registration on the NYSC site. It is critical that you check your email for more information.
