About Lagos State University of Education (LASUED)

LASUED is a dual-campus educational institution in Lagos. It is a university formed by the amalgamation of two former Lagos State Government institutions of education.

Even when one is older and larger than the other in terms of age and activities, it will provide for a more pleasant cohabitation if one is not made subservient to the other. As a result, we have two campuses that have kept the traditional titles of the colleges, namely:

1. Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (formerly Lagos State College of Education) Oto/Ijanikin which is an offshoot of the Lagos Teacher Training College, Ebute-Elefun in Lagos Island, was founded by the Federal Ministry of Education and inaugurated on May 9, 1958, as a Grade II Teacher Training Institution by Hon. Aja Nwachukwu (MON), the then Minister of Education.

2. The Lagos State Government created the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Noforija, Epe, in December 1994, as the Lagos State College of Primary Education (LACOPED).

However, the establishment was made in accordance with the then-current National Policy on Education, which, among other things, calls for the National Certificate in Education (NCE) to be the basic (minimum) certification for teaching in Nigeria by the year 2000.

In general, the Lagos State College of Primary Education was founded to provide pre-service and in-service training, as well as graduate certification for all levels of the Basic School system.

Particularly, the college’s specific mission is to train and create pre-service topic specialists for the lower, middle, and upper basic education levels. This is in contrast to the generalist subject teachers produced by traditional education colleges.

After completing a few practice exams, you are familiar with the format of the questions. It’s good to be aware of this so you don’t write an essay-length response for a 2-mark question and run out of time for a 10-mark question later in the paper. In general, the paper will start with lower-mark questions and build up.

2. Time Management

The usefulness of finishing our sample past questions is that you can estimate how much time you will have for each question. It is even better to invite a parent, sibling, or friend to serve as your invigilator and keep track of your time allocation.

3. Understand the Allocation of Marks

It also helps to understand how and why points are assigned in a particular way, pointing to an underlying marking scheme for each previous exam. You can mark your own work in this way and observe where the marks are placed.

4. Good Way to Practice Writing

In case all your revision notes are arranged in bullets, using our past papers is a helpful technique to practice organizing the knowledge you have learned into paragraphs. As a result, you will also be able to communicate your information accurately, which is just as important as really possessing it.

5. Assessment of your Possible Scores
