Holland Scholarships for International Students: Do you intend to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree abroad? Holland Scholarships

The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, along with Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, jointly fund the Holland Scholarship.

International students from outside the EEA who wish to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the Netherlands are eligible for this award.

About this Scholarship

The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, are funding this fellowship.

The award is for five thousand euros. This will be given to you throughout your first academic year.

Note that this scholarship does not cover the entire cost of tuition.

Application Criteria

1. Your nationality is non-EEA

2. You are applying to one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree.

3. You comply with the institution of your choice’s specific standards. These are available on the institution’s website.

4. You don’t hold a degree from a Dutch educational institution.

Scholarship Code of Conduct

Nuffic may not participate in activities involving improper behavior, nor may programs run by Nuffic. It may be about wrongdoing in relationships, finances, or the abuse of authority.

A Nuffic Integrity Code of Conduct was created to address improper behavior. Activities involving any of the following circumstances or actions are also unacceptable:

  • Bankruptcy, insolvency, or winding-up procedures
  • Breach of obligations relating to the payment of taxes or social security contributions
  • Conduct related to a criminal organization
  • Money laundering or terrorist financing
  • Terrorist offenses or offenses linked to terrorist activities
  • Irregularity
  • Creating a shell company
  • Being a shell company.

How to Apply

You can apply for the Holland Scholarship at the Dutch institution of your choice if you meet their selection criteria.

At www.studyinholland.nl/hollandscholarship you can find an overview of participating Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, as well as selected fields of study.

Application Deadline

The application round for the academic year 2024-2025 will open on 1 November 2023. The deadline for application is either 1 February 2024 or 1 May 2024.
