University of Birmingham Location

The main University of Birmingham campus is in Edgbaston, where the majority of the teaching and other facilities are located.

It was England’s first campus university and the traditional redbrick institution, with spacious and lovely grounds with grass, trees, and a lake. The Selly Oak campus is located on a lovely garden property, a short bus ride from the main campus.

Cadbury’s Chocolate, the Bullring, Peaky Blinders, and the Balti are all linked to the city. However, Birmingham has much more to offer than this.

Birmingham, being one of the original pioneering cities, has grown into a hub for retail, food and drink, nightlife, sports, culture, and industry.

Birmingham is a major European city with beautiful Victorian and modern architecture, art, music, theatre, and sports venues, fantastic nightlife, and superb retail and dining options, including the world-famous Bullring Centre. The city also benefits from being surrounded by picturesque scenery.

Its central location in England makes it an ideal base for seeing the UK and Europe; the city is less than two hours by road and train from London and has its own international airport.

Warwick, Stratford, the Peak District, and Wales are all within reasonable driving distance.
