The Student Outdoor Program also organizes recreational trips such as moonlight sea kayaking and whitewater rafting.

Furthermore, Whitman students have the opportunity to enroll in the distinctive Semester in the West program, a three-month expedition spanning Oregon, Nevada, California, Utah, and Idaho, all within a converted horse trailer.

Whitman College maintains an acceptance rate of 48%. Among the applicants granted admission to Whitman College, those who provided test scores exhibit a median SAT score ranging from 1293 to 1473, or an ACT score between 30 and 33.

Nevertheless, a quarter of admitted students surpassed these score ranges, while another quarter fell below these levels. The application deadline for Whitman College is January 15th.
