UT Scholarships are kinds of financial aid that don’t require repayment. Some scholarships are given out based on financial need, whilst others are merit-based, meaning they are given out based on academic success or involvement in extracurricular activities. UT Scholarships
Over 3,000 scholarships are available at UT for both new and continuing students. They want to assist you in finding solutions to your issues regarding how to pay for education since they are dedicated to making UT Austin accessible for all students.
In order to help students pay for their undergraduate education, UT Austin offers university and private scholarships as well as aids in the financial aid application process.
College, School, and Department Scholarships
Many of the academic departments, colleges, and schools of UT Austin give out their own scholarships to new and continuing students.
Some need students to submit an additional application in order to be considered. Your FAFSA/TASFA data and admissions application details are used to assess your eligibility.
The majority of scholarship awards will be announced in March and April. If you don’t get a scholarship from your college or school when you’re a freshman, it doesn’t mean you won’t get one when you’re a sophomore, junior, or senior because continuing students frequently receive more scholarship money than freshmen, so keep applying every year to increase your chances of getting one!
Types of UT Scholarships
The scholarship offered by UT are listed below:
1. Incoming Student Scholarships
By December 1, submit an application for admission to UT via either the Coalition for College or ApplyTexas. The questions for the scholarship will be accessible through MyStatus; there is no separate scholarship application.
Scholarships that do not require financial need will still be evaluated for incoming students who do not submit a FAFSA. To be eligible for the most scholarships, you are urged to fill out a FAFSA.
2. Continuing & Transfer Students Scholarship Application
Each year in November, the UT Scholarship Application for Continuing & Transfer Students becomes accessible, and this is the application used to award students for the upcoming academic year.
Only current students who are qualified to enroll, transfer students who have been officially enrolled or who have submitted an application for transfer admission, and former UT students who are applying for readmission to UT are permitted to submit this online application.
You can also utilize this online form if you’re a student applying through the Coordinated Admissions Program (CAP), waiting to finish the requirements by June 1 to enroll in classes in the autumn.
The Continuing & Transfer Scholarship Application must be submitted by March 15 at Midnight (CDT).

3. College, School, and Department Scholarships
Many UT colleges, schools, and academic departments award their own scholarships to incoming and continuing students.
Some have additional application requirements that you must complete to be considered.
Contact your college, school, or department to learn more about the steps you need to take to be considered for their scholarships.
4. Outside and Private Scholarships
Many scholarships are awarded by entities outside of and distinct from UT. Each of these scholarships has its own requirements, deadlines, and application procedures.
Scholarship Application Details
They have exclusive UT Austin-only scholarships like the full-ride award offer called the Forty Acres and many other scholarships from alumni and chapters of Texas Exes.
Deadlines for Texas Exes awards range from December 1 to February 15.
