Amount: $11,500 to $15,500

Students at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia, are eligible for these scholarships if they have a GPA of at least 3.0 and 12 transferable credits.

Amount: $500 to $5,000

A special honor society established just for transfer students is called Tau Sigma. Their main objective is to support transfer students’ leadership and involvement at their university.

The Tau Sigma Honor Society Scholarship provides grants for transfer students around the nation each year that range from $500 to $5,000.

4. Pearson Scholarship for Higher Education

Amount: $5,000

The Pearson Scholarship for Higher Education $5,000 Scholarship is open to all Phi Theta Kappa members and was established to assist individuals preparing to transfer from any community college to a four-year university.

A minimum GPA of 3.5 and between 12 and 36 semester hours are needed.

5. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books, and required fees for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree.

Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships they may receive. This highly competitive scholarship includes:

  • Up to $55,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school.

Amount: Up to $24,000

Depending on academic standing, Lebanon Valley College awards transfer scholarships each year ranging from $16,000 to $24,000.

9. Hiram College Transfer Scholarship

Amount: Up to $16,000

Annual transfer scholarship awards from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, range from $12,000 to $16,000. These grants are extendable for a maximum of three years.

Students that exhibit academic proficiency will be given preference. A unique scholarship award may also be available to students who are Phi Theta Kappa members.

10. Johnson & Wales University Transfer Scholarship

Amount: Up to $10,000

The Johnson & Wales University Transfer Scholarship offers up to $10,000 toward tuition and is renewable for up to four years.

11. Lycoming College Transfer Student Scholarship

Amount: $18,000 to $24,000

When submitting an admissions application, incoming students will automatically be considered for the Lycoming College Transfer Student Scholarship.
