LENS Polytechnic Offa Programmes and Departments 2023/2024

Lens Polytechnic is a polytechnic incorporated in Nigeria by the same management that owns and runs Lens school of management, Offa which is an innovation enterprise institution.

Lens Polytechnic is an expansion of Lens School of Management and Technology.

The institution opened its doors on April 20, 2012. Azeez Yisa Bukola and Abdulazeez Ishaq, two highly regarded educators and bankers who created Lens Polytechnic, received proper accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education.

The Proprietors have always cared about education and have been troubled by the predicament of Nigerian youth who try and fail to get accepted into academic schools.

The objectives of the school are;

To enrol qualified students and equip them with world-class skills and knowledge.
To train the students to be ethically upright and contribute their best to society.
To create studies that are highly practical based, innovative and dynamic for direct absorption into industries and for self-empowerment.

School of Science

School of Science is located in Annex 2, KM2 along Irra Road Besie school of Naval Offa Kwara State. There are three (3) departments in the school of Science:

Computer Science Department
Computer Software Engineering Department
Statistics Department

Computer Science Entry Requirement.

5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, English, one from Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Info. Tech. and any 2 from Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/Science subjects in not more than two sittings.

Computer Software Entry Requirement

5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/science subjects in not more than two sittings.

Statistics Entry Requirement.

55 O/Level credits including Mathematics, and four from Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Info. Tech. and any 2 from Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Education, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/Science /social science subjects in not more than two sittings. At least a pass in English is allowed.

School of Art and Information Technology

The School of science is located in Annex1, Attari Area Offa Kwara State. There are three (3) departments in the School of Art and Information Technology:

Mass Comunication Department
Graphic & Advertisement Department
MultiMedia Technology Department.

Mass Communication Entry Requirement

Any 5 O/Levels including the English Language one of Literature in English, Languages (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, Arabic etc.) and any other 3 other subjects. A pass in Mathematics is allowed.

MultiMedia Technology Entry Requirement

5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics/ Commerce, Accounting and other technical/Science /Social Science subjects in not more than two sittings. A pass in English is allowed for ND.

Graphics Design and Advertising Entry Requirement.

Any 5 O/Level credits of Technical/Science/Social Science subjects. At least a pass in English or Mathematics but not a pass in both is allowed.

School of Engineering

School of Engineering is located in Annex 2, KM2 along irra road beside school of Naval Offa Kwara State. There are five (5) departments in the School of Engineering:

Computer Hardware Eng. Department
Computer Tech Engineering Department
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department
Telecommunication Engineering Department
Networking and System Security Department

Computer Engineering Technology Entry Requirement.

5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics, and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics, and other technical/Science subjects in not more than two sittings. A pass in English is allowed for ND.

Electrical Electronic Engineering Entry Requirement.

School of Management and Finance
