About the Kotak Kanya Scholarship
Kotak Kanya Scholarship is a collaborative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project undertaken by Kotak Mahindra Group companies and Kotak Education Foundation.
Its primary objective is to promote education and livelihood opportunities among economically disadvantaged segments of society.
The scholarship aims to extend financial support to deserving female students from low-income families, empowering them to pursue higher education in professional fields after completing Class 12.
Under the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024, eligible female students who have successfully passed Class 12 and aspire to pursue professional graduation courses, including Engineering, MBBS, Architecture, Design, integrated LLB, and others, from reputable institutes (NAAC/NIRF accredited) will receive a scholarship of Rs. 1.5 lakh* per year.
This financial aid is intended to cover their educational expenses throughout their graduation (degree) program.
What is the Kotak Education Foundation
Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) was established on 14th January 2007 to address urban poverty through education and livelihood initiatives.
KEF operates in disadvantaged areas of Mumbai, including Deonar, Govandi Chembur, Kurla, Dharavi, and others, with a focus on empowering children and youth from underprivileged families.
They offer various educational and vocational skills training programs to make them employable and enable them to lead a life with dignity.
KEF provides scholarships to meritorious students, which include financial assistance, mentoring, and coaching sessions.
These initiatives are designed to support students who have passed the 10th standard to complete the 12th standard and graduate.
Additionally, KEF offers assistance to school dropouts to help them rise above the poverty line through skilling and livelihood programs.
Currently, KEF collaborates with more than 140 schools, benefiting over 1,500 teachers, and making a positive impact on around 100,000 students.
Eligibility and Criteria
1. Available for female students all over India.
2. Candidates must have achieved 85% or higher marks or an equivalent CGPA in their Class 12 board examination.
3. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed Rs. 6,00,000 (Six Lakh Rupees).
4. Meritorious female students who have secured admission to first-year graduation programs in the Academic Year 2024 at reputed institutes (NIRF/NAAC accredited) for pursuing professional academic courses such as:
- Engineering
- MBBS
- Integrated LLB (5 years)
- Other professional courses (Design, Architecture, etc.)
5. Children of employees working at Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation, and Buddy4Study are ineligible to apply for the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024.
Benefits
Each selected scholar will receive a scholarship amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh* per year until the completion of her professional graduation course/degree.
The scholarship amount awarded through Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024 is intended to cover various academic expenses, such as tuition fees, hostel fees, internet charges, transportation, laptops, books, and stationery.

Follow these steps to apply for the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024:
1. Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button provided below.
2. Use your registered ID to log in to Buddy4Study and access the ‘Online Application Form Page’.
3. If you are not registered, create an account on Buddy4Study using your Email/Mobile/Gmail account.
4. You will then be directed to the ‘Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2024’ application form page.
5. Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to initiate the application process.
6. Complete the online scholarship application form by providing all the necessary details.
7. Upload the required documents as specified.
8. Review and accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’, then click on ‘Preview’.
9. After verifying that all the filled details are correct on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to finalize the application process.
