a. The Adult Education Professional programme requires three (3) subjects from the Arts or Social Sciences.

b. The Adult Education Economics and Statistics programme requires Economics, Mathematics, and one (1) other Arts or Social Science topic.

c. Adult Education, English and Literature requires literature in English, one (1) arts course, and any other topic.

d. Adult Education, Geography, and Regional Planning needs Geography, one (1) Social Science, and any other topic.

f. Adult Education, Political Science, and Public Administration require Government or History, one (1) Social Science topic, and any additional subject.

O-Level Requirements

The O’level subject combination and requirements for studying Adult Education, Economics, and Statistics;

To apply, you must have five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and mathematics.

Also, three (3) of Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Geography/Physic, Economics, and Government, or TC II with a pass in English Language and four other subjects.

Direct Entry Requirements

If you do not want to use UTME, you must meet the following requirements to be admitted to Adult Education / Economics and Statistics through Direct Entry.

  • You need two (2) ‘A’ level passes.
  • NCE performance in two (2) subjects.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNIBEN accepts ‘A’ Level passes in applicable Arts and Social Science courses, along with three (3) ‘O’ Level passes, including English Language, in one sitting. These requires:

(a) Two (2) or three (3) NCE merit and three (3) or two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including the English Language at one (1) sitting.

(b) ND upper credit plus three (3) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including English Language, taken in one setting.
