Jamb 2024 Registration and Examination Date: Aspiring to gain admission into a higher institution to study your dream course? Then you need to read this article to know everything about the 2024 jamb registration, its respective examination date, and other equally important information.

Jamb Registration

Almost every secondary school graduate student wishes to study in a higher education facility. But doing so requires passing the compulsory every year Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB), a national educational organization, is charged with the sole duty of putting suitably qualified candidates in tertiary institutions.

Following this, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board organizes the annual Jamb examination. Successful candidates are then given admission. However, this solely depends on your institution of choice and basically if you meet their specified cut-off mark.

How to Register for the 2024 Jamb Examination

Most candidates have this feeling that jamb registration is just something that one can undertake sharply within a few hours but this is wrong. Jamb registration takes procedures and until these procedures are complete, registration cannot be successful.

1. The process starts with getting your NIN ready for jamb registration.

2. Get your jamb profile code by setting your jamb profile. Candidates must text their names (Surname, First Name, Middle Name) to 55019 using their cell phone number. The text must be no more than 40 characters and may only have two spaces between the names.

The candidates’ personal mobile numbers must be in use when creating your profile. The candidate’s cell phone number will automatically correspond with his or her name and will be in use in all procedures regarding the candidate’s 2024 jamb application and Examination. A 10-character Profile Code will be sent to the mobile number.

3. You need to get your Jamb E PIN which can be gotten from the banks we have listed here or from post offices or an accredited center.

4. To finish registration, candidates must show their PIN at any certified CBT Center.

When the creation of your jamb profile or jamb code is complete, the next step is to log into the JAMB E facility portal with your E pin. Log in with your username and password, update your profile, and complete any outstanding applications.

How to Make Payment for Jamb Registration

To Pay through Banks (Including Micro Finance Banks)  follow these steps. Show the bank of your choice your Profile Code and make a cash or credit card payment. Your personal cell phone number will receive a message with your ePIN. It’s that simple. Please note that the message might take up to 24hrs

When is the Jamb Examination Date

After the organization’s management meeting held on Tuesday, 20th December 2023, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released key dates for its activities in 2024.

Therefore, JAMB has stated the registration period for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Subsequently, the jamb registration, including foreign candidates, is to start from Monday, January 15, to Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Consequently, this does not include registration for Direct Entry (DE). However, application documents for DE registration would begin on Monday, February 19, and end April 2024.

As prospective students who want to gain admission this year, you should know exactly your  UTME date. With this, you will plan and prepare accordingly.

The Jamb examination will be held from Friday, 19th April 2024, and end on Monday, 29th April 2024. Hence you are to start your Registration for the Next UTME as the date for registration is stated above

How Much is Jamb 2024 UTME Form

The cost of the JAMB registration form for 2024 is N7,700, inclusive of a mock examination, and N6,200 for UTME registration without the mock examination.

However, this is not the only amount you will pay. However, you will need to pay additional fees to get the registration form and complete other procedures.

The other fee may be 0ne thousand naira (or less) for the registration depending on the cyber cafe you go to. Therefore, the entire cost of the JAMB UTME registration form added with the registration fee may be approximately N8700 or below. However, this is not static if we include other charges like the mock fee and CBT-accredited center fees.

Meanwhile, candidates who have an interest in writing the Mock examination that will be set by Jamb will pay a service fee of one thousand five hundred naira (N1500) only.

Therefore, if you have an interest in writing the mock examination you will pay the amount mentioned above at the time of registration.

Thus, this is done to prevent a situation in which candidates indicate an interest in sitting for the mock UTME. Thereby, causing the various accredited centers to delegate human and material resources towards this course. Afterward, only to have the candidates fail to appear on the day of the examination.

With the new condition, candidates show their desire by paying for the mock exam at the point of UTME registration. In this situation, it prevents centers from suffering losses regardless of whether candidates attend the mock examination or not.

Most candidates get worked up over the necessary items required by jamb to have a successful registration. If you are writing a jamb for the first time then read this carefully.

If you haven’t taken the JAMB UTME exam yet, you should be well informed by your peers who have, that it isn’t as simple as your typical Senior Secondary exam. Therefore, early planning is required to guarantee a successful outcome.
