Dell Scholarship: Even though many students hope to finish college, life might sometimes get in the way. The Dell Scholars program provides thorough, targeted support to assist students in overcoming academic hurdles, improving their financial literacy, and managing the personal circumstances that have an impact on their college experience.

This scholarship is made to be flexible so that recipients can use their award money for the many expenses they incur while attending college.

About Dell Scholarship

These scholarship awards may be used for graduate school, loan repayment, study abroad, and internship stipends in addition to covering tuition, fees, and the full cost of attendance for undergraduate studies.

Scholarship Criteria

1. Participate in a program-approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12

2. Be on track to graduate from an accredited high school in the current academic year

3. Demonstrate a need for financial assistance

4. Be eligible to receive a Federal Pell Grant in the first year of college

5. Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited higher education institution in the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in the fall directly following high school graduation

6. Earn a minimum of a 2.4 GPA

Who is Eligible to Apply?

1. The Dell Scholars program targets low-income

2. A student who has a required 2.4-grade point average,

3. Highly motivated students who are better than their numbers indicate and demonstrate the drive to succeed despite personal obstacles.

4. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a unique “GPA” of grit, potential, and ambition in their quest for a college education:

  • Grit: by taking action to address or overcome personal challenges in their lives related to their families, schools, or communities.
  • Potential: by participating in college readiness programs and seeking out academic rigor.
  • Ambition: by preparing them and planning for their dream of graduating with a college degree.

How to Apply?

To apply for a scholarship from the Dell Scholars program, the first step is completing the online application.

Once submitted, all applications will be assessed and a group of semifinalists will be selected.

Semifinalists are asked to submit a current copy of their high school transcript, a complete Student Aid Report (SAR) from their FAFSA, and an online recommendation.

After the semifinalist information is submitted, all information is reviewed by an independent selection committee.

Access to Teletherapy: A teletherapy service that connects students to professional counseling

Which Students at UT Austin Will Become Dell Scholars?

Qualifying first-year students will become Dell Scholars owing to their collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin.

Dell Scholars at UT Austin will get their initial financial aid package and award notification in March. There isn’t a different application.

Students must maintain full-time enrollment, be in good standing, and annually submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to maintain eligibility.

A freshman’s eligibility will be determined at the time of entrance.

Once accepted into the program, students will continue to profit from it as long as they continue to complete the requirements and maintain good standing.
