Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the 2024 Fellowship cohort, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Graduated on or before June/July 2024.

2. This is your first application for the 2024 Fellowship cohort, and you have not applied since July last year.

3. You are either an Indian citizen or hold Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) status.

The Fellowship Selection Process

The selection process for Fellowship candidates involves three stages.

1. Application Form

Commence by introducing yourself, sharing your academic and professional background, elaborating on your interests, prior experiences, and the motivations driving your desire to be part of the Fellowship.

Since Fellows teach in English, an online English Assessment is included in the application to evaluate your language proficiency.

2. Phone Interview

For selected applicants, we conduct a 30-minute telephone interview to gather additional information.

3. Assessment Centre

This marks the final phase of the selection process. During this stage, you will engage with Teach For India and fellow applicants through various activities, including sample teaching, critical thinking exercises, group tasks, and interviews.

Application Deadlines

The Fellowship’s selection process comprises multiple stages for each cohort. You are allowed to submit one application per cohort.

This means that if you applied for the 2024 cohort that started in July last year, you cannot reapply until July 2024 for the subsequent cohort.

After submitting your application, you can expect to receive an email within 10 business days, informing you of the application outcome and providing any further instructions if necessary.
