The objective of the GP Birla Scholarship
The primary aim of establishing this scholarship is to provide financial support to economically disadvantaged individuals who lack sufficient funds to pursue higher education in various universities or institutes within West Bengal State.
Students who have achieved at least 85% or 90% marks in their Class 12 board exams can apply for this prestigious scholarship, but their family income must not exceed Rs. 3 lahks per year.
The scholarship will cover up to Rs. 50,000 towards tuition fees in the first year and an additional Rs—7,000 for purchasing books and materials.
Students can easily apply for this scholarship to pursue their undergraduate degrees or other educational aspirations within West Bengal State.
Benefits of the GP Birla Scholarship
Applicants who are chosen will receive the following scholarships:
1. Rs. 50,000/- per student per year for Tuition Fees and Hostel Fees.
2. Rs. 7,000/- for purchasing Books in the first year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
1. Must be an Indian citizen residing in West Bengal.
2. Should have obtained a 12th standard passing certificate with 85% marks from the state board or 90% marks from CBSE.
3. The annual family income should not exceed 3 Lakh rupees.
4. Must be enrolled in courses such as Arts, Science, Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Law, and Commerce, or professional courses like Company Secretaryship, Cost Accountancy, and Chartered Accountancy.

3. Copy of the completed application form attested by the Head of the Institution from which the student has passed class 12
