About Bowen University
The Bowen University is a private Christian university in Iwo, Osun State in southwestern Nigeria.
The university was established in 2001 with the purpose of teaching and research. Bowen University students are imbued with a mix of academic achievement and compassion for mankind and God.
As previously said, it is a Christian university with bachelor’s degree programs spanning Agriculture, Education, Medicine, Sciences, Social and Management Sciences, and so on.
The student population is fairly diversified, but we do not have information on the student or staff population.
We do know that it is reasonably inhabited for a private institution, but not as densely populated as federal universities.
Admission to Bowen University is relatively difficult because the university has a high reputation and is reasonably priced.
Bowen University’s school fees range from N600,000 to N700,000 depending on the program, and it also offers students with decent hostels and other infrastructures such as a library and good college buildings.
Bowen University School Fees Schedule
Bowen University operates on a two-semester academic calendar. Newly admitted students must pay an acceptance fee, which is a standard payment for all tertiary schools in Nigeria.
However, to demonstrate that they have accepted the institution’s offer of admission. Students are advised to go to the institution’s administrative block for adequate guidance on which bank to put their payments into.

Bowen University Remedial Students School Fees Structure
Bowen University offers a program known as the Extended Remedial Program. Below is the structure of the fees expected to be paid by students for the program:
1. N75,000 for a single course.
2. N140,000 for two courses.
3. More than two courses with fewer than 12 credit units N180,000.
4. Extra credits for graduating students with fewer than fourteen credits N20,000 per credit
5. The last payment is due upon completion of the Extended Remedial Program.
How to Pay School Fees at Bowen University
Bowen University’s payment mechanisms are simple to use and adapt to the student’s needs. A freshly accepted student who wishes to make payments must pay close attention to the information provided in order to correctly pay university fees.
The payment procedure for specific Academic Levels of Students is as follows:
1. Students in the 100, 300, and 500 academic levels must pay their fees via bank draft, which is payable on the student’s resuming date.
2. Students in the 200 and 400 academic levels must pay via the Skye Bank Plc E-Payment system.

Bowen University Admission General Entry Requirement
(i) FOR UTME
- All candidates must take the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
- All applicants must have credits in at least five (5) courses from SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or an authorized equivalent, including English Language and four additional subjects as defined by each Faculty.
- The five credits must be completed in no more than two sittings.
- The five credits (including Mathematics and English) for Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS), Nursing Science, and Physiotherapy programs must be earned in a single sitting, therefore NABTEB is not valid.
- Candidates who are awaiting results are encouraged to apply.
- All applicants must go through the Bowen University Screening Exercise.
- Applicants must fill out the University Application forms.
- Interested students who have submitted to JAMB for admission and desire to modify their university choice to Bowen University must:
- Apply for a change of institution via JAMB.
- Fill out the Bowen University Application Form.
- Take part in the Bowen University screening process.
- Bowen University School Fees are also available.
(ii) FOR DIRECT ENTRY
- All direct entrance applicants must meet one or more of the following requirements:
- NCE at credit level, ND, and authorized equivalents in relevant subjects with at least Lower Credit.
- At least two Advanced Level passes at an appropriate grade level are required.
- At appropriate grade levels, the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies.
- Candidates must fulfill the Ordinary Level requirements in addition to NCE/ND/IJMB, JUPEB, or two Advanced Level papers required by each Faculty or course.
- HND holders may be admitted to either the 200 or 300 level, depending on the regulations governing admission to each department/program.
- All direct entry candidates must apply through JAMB.
