UTME and Direct Entry Requirements for Applied Botany

Before getting admitted to Nigerian universities, students must fulfill several requirements for consideration for the UTME and Direct Entry.

Direct Entry Requirement

Two “A” level passes in biology and either chemistry or physics are necessary to apply to Applied Botany as a Direct Entry applicant.

Particular Conditions (Waiver) Remarks 

(i) BASU accepts GCE, A Level, and IJMB. Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are the three courses that require a Level Credit pass. 

The following subjects must be completed for a National Diploma (ND) Pass: Science Lab Technology, Forestry or Agriculture, and Food Science Technology, with a minimum lower credit. 

Additionally, the candidate must meet the standards for the five O’ Levels in geography, physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and English language or agricultural science.

UTME Requirement for Applied Botany

As a UTME candidate, you must have five “SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Math, Chemistry, and any one of Health Science, Statistics, Physics, and Geography” to apply for Applied Botany.
