Every year, 10,000 fresh scholarships are awarded, providing recipients with a monthly amount of up to INR 7,800 until the completion of their degree course.

The scholarship was launched in the academic year 2014-15 to promote higher education among financially disadvantaged students and increase enrollment rates in the North East Region.
