Benue State University, Makurdi hereby announces the commencement of the sale of application forms for the undergraduate programmes listed below for this academic session. Below are the programmes approved by the NUC for the university.
Benue State University is state-owned in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. Its 2006 student enrollment was over 19,000 served by 429 faculty.
It offers undergraduate and graduate programs with a catalogue of over 50 graduate programs across seven colleges. It is accredited by the National Universities Commission.
About Benue State University
The university was founded in 1992 and served 306 students with 149 faculty.
The state government felt that the community needed a conventional university to augment the specialized academic offerings of the University of Agriculture.
In 1991, the state government formed a 13-member steering committee to plan for and obtain approval for the university.
The university began offering classes for the 1992/1993 school year in four colleges: Arts, Education, Sciences, and Social Science.
