BPL Scholarship
The Department of Higher Education, Chhattisgarh, offers the BPL Scholarship Scheme for College Students.
This program’s goal is to provide financial aid to deserving students from families who fall below the federal poverty line (BPL).
The purpose of this aid is to help them manage a portion of their daily costs as they pursue higher education.
Meritorious candidates who are selected will receive a scholarship worth up to ₹500 per month for a period of 10 months.

Benefits
The lucky students will receive benefits as follows:
1. Graduate level – ₹300 per month
2. Postgraduate level – ₹500 per month
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, a candidate needs to:
1. Be enrolled in any Higher Education Department-approved government college in Chhattisgarh
2. Have a guardian with a BPL card
3. Have passed the yearly exam on the first try
4. Maintain regular attendance
How to Apply
1. Candidates who meet the requirements can apply for the scholarship by doing the following:
2. Select the ‘Apply Now’ option from the list below.
3. After selecting “Register,” enter the necessary registration information. If you have already registered, please sign in using your Gmail address, phone number, or email ID.
4. Select the ‘New Registration’ tab after going to ‘Applicant Corner’.
5. After carefully reading the information, choose the checkbox and press the “Continue” button.
6. Choose the appropriate Aadhaar option, then submit by entering your cellphone number, OTP, and captcha code.
7. To finalize the registration procedure, enter the necessary information and select “Save & Register.”
8. Select the ‘Fresh Application‘ option and enter your application ID and password to log in. (Note: Students in their second or third year who were awarded a BPL scholarship in their first year should apply under the ‘Renewal’ category.)
9. Complete the application by filling out the essential fields and uploading the required files.
Terms and Conditions
1. To ensure verification, applicants must send their institute with all necessary documentation. Applications that are not validated by the relevant State Government Office, the institute or both will be deemed “Invalid”.
2. For new candidates, the scholarship amount will be awarded for a maximum of ten “qualifying” months, spanning from July to April. A month is deemed “qualified” if the student applied for admission by the 21st of that month at the latest.
