Nabanna Scholarship
The Nabanna Scholarship is a government-sponsored initiative that offers financial support to West Bengali students.
The initiative’s goal is to encourage and support students from disadvantaged families to pursue higher education. The West Bengal Chief Minister’s Office started the program.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply for the Nabanna scholarship, a student must meet the following requirements:
1. West Bengal should be the pupils’ permanent home.
2. The candidates must have passed their most recent test from a West Bengal board, council, or university that is recognized. Moreover, kids need to be presently enrolled in an approved school in the state of West Bengal. For the +2 level, they needed to have received an aggregate score of at least 50% but not more than 60% in the Madhyamik (Class 10) exam.
3. A cumulative score in the above Secondary (Class 12) exam for undergraduates of 50% or above but less than 60%.
4. A cumulative GPA of 50% or above but less than 53% for postgraduate work.
5. The student’s family’s annual income should not exceed INR 1,20,000.
6. During the past year, the candidates cannot have received any other federal, state, or local government scholarship or stipend for the same course or stage of study.
Application Process
The scholarship program’s application procedure is done offline. It is recommended that students who are interested in applying for the scholarship program take the necessary actions listed below:
Write a thorough application on plain paper that includes all pertinent information.
Make sure the application has all necessary attachments attached.
Make sure all the documents provided are attested before signing the application.
Send in the completed application and the necessary paperwork.
Required Documents
Students who wish to apply for the Nabanna Scholarship must include a collection of supporting documentation with their application. Among these documents are:
A copy of the book on tuition and entry fees
Copies of all previously completed test mark sheets
Copies of the selection committee’s assignment letter and rank card (only for JEE or comparable exams)
A copy of the MP/MLA’s recommendation to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, including the student’s monthly household income
Information about a self-bank account, including the bank name, account number, branch code, and IFSC code, together with a photocopy of the passbook.
A copy of the DM/SDO/BDO/Group monthly household income certificate government official holding a position at least equal to that of Joint B.D.O., Deputy Commissioner of Corporation, or Executive Officer in the case of a municipality
A self-declaration from the student detailing their current course of study, including the year and semester as well as any scholarships, help, or assistance they have received, countersigned with a seal by the current institution’s head.
