If you want to apply to more than one program, you must apply and pay the fee for each program.

University of Washington application fee for graduates is  $85.00 (USD) or $75.00 for Graduate Non-Matriculated applications The fee is nonrefundable and is subject to change without notice.

University of Washington Application Fee for Undergraduate

The application fee is nonrefundable and must be submitted each time you apply for admission. Therefore, It cannot be transferred to another quarter, to another campus of the UW, or another student. The UW Application fee for undergraduates is: $80

Payment Options

You may pay by credit card, debit card, or an electronic check from a U.S. checking account.

The application fee must be paid at the time you submit the online application and cannot be submitted separately.

The application cannot be reviewed by the Office of Admissions unless the application fee has been paid or a fee waiver has been granted.

Fee Waivers

The applications

The UW application for freshman autumn admission opens September 1 each year. ( visit the school website below to See dates and deadlines for additional information.)

You may apply to the UW using one of two applications — ApplyWeb or the Common App.

Please apply with only one application. The UW does not have a preference for an application platform. The deadline for both is November 15, and decisions will be released March 1–15.  Visit the school website for proper guidance.

1. No interviews/demonstrated interest: The UW does not conduct formal interviews or consider demonstrated interest in the admission decision.

2. No letters of recommendation: Do not send letters of recommendation or other supplemental materials such as drawings, CDs, DVDs, books, or other portfolio-type items. The school will learn everything they need to know about you through your essay responses.

3. No Common App personal essay: The Common App personal essay will not be reviewed as part of your application to the UW. Be sure to complete the UW writing section to tell the school everything you want them to know.
