University of North Carolina at Greensboro Scholarships
In general, all institutional scholarships require that students be accepted to or enrolled in a degree or certificate program at UNCG.
Students must also meet eligibility requirements as set forth in the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy for Financial Aid Eligibility.
FIRST-YEAR AND TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS
Fall first-year applicants are automatically considered for a limited number of scholarships when they apply by the priority deadline.
Merit-based and need-based awards are available.
UNCG offers academically talented students a variety of merit-based scholarships. As a student progresses through enrollment there are also several departmental scholarships they can apply for based on their major.
BLUE & GOLD SCHOLARSHIPS
Academically talented incoming first-year students are eligible for this merit-based scholarship which varies in value and duration.
Students planning to enroll in the Fall semester would need to apply by January 15th of that academic year.
When the Admissions Office receives their application, they will automatically be considered for our Blue & Gold Scholarships.
CHANCELLOR AND SPARTAN SCHOLARSHIPS
A select number of students who show academic merit and have financial need are eligible for these scholarships.
Much like the Blue & Gold Scholarship, no secondary application is necessary beyond submitting your UNCG Application by January 15th.
Also filing your student’s FAFSA to determine the aid need. Students will be notified by the Admissions Office or the Financial Aid Office no later than the end of January based on eligibility.
