Why is OB Montessori tuition fee High? | Why Choose Montessori?
I’m sure a lot of people will be curious as to what makes Montessori schools unique and why the huge tuition fees.
Or, you might ask, are they really all that unique to begin with? In fact, I found a lot of remarks along these lines when doing research for this article.
Some of the thoughts parents might have are;
“Why must I spend so much money? Maybe am merely purchasing prestige.
“It doesn’t matter what school your child attends as long as he is a good student; he will be a good student no matter what.”
On the other hand, we understand those sentiments. Many parents studied in public elementary schools and they turned out fine.
Also, many individuals have attended high school and university and were technically public. And lots of people may be your cousins, friends, etc. — with a public school background who did very well later on.
Hence, we absolutely agree that it’s not a matter of public vs. private. Anyone who thinks that a private school graduate is automatically better than a public school graduate is just plain ignorant.
Prestige is also the least of major concerns.
However, going to a good school does matter: not because of the school itself, or its status, but because of the learning environment that it provides.
A lifelong love of learning in particular, along with individualized, child-led teaching (self-pacing), form the fundamental foundation of Montessori education.
Because of this, one method to assess if a school truly upholds Montessori principles or is merely Montessori by name is to look for these characteristics.
