Costco has been installing contactless payment terminals in its warehouses for several months, and as of this week, it has enabled contactless payments at all 750 of its sites across the country.
Costco is also installing contactless readers at its petrol stations, although only a few have gone online.
Costco has previously tested Apple Pay in a warehouse in Issaquah, Washington, near its corporate headquarters, as well as a few other sites, but just recently expanded acceptance to all of its stores.

Yes. The great majority of Costco stores accept Apple Pay using their contactless NFC reader.
There are a few stores that still use archaic technology, but they have probably all been upgraded by the time you read this.
What Credit Cards Can I Use with Apple Pay?
Visa only.
In the United States, Costco only takes Visa for credit card payments.
However, if you live in Canada, Costco will accept any major credit card.
How Does Apple Pay Work?
It’s really straightforward but requires some experience.
To use the NFC reader at Costco at checkout, follow these instructions.
Inform the merchant that you’re using Apple Pay.
Double-click your iPhone’s side button to activate the default Visa card.
A prompt will display, prompting you to unlock your iPhone with your face or enter your passcode.
Once verified, place your phone close to the reader.
A checkmark will show on the iPhone’s screen, indicating a successful payment.
Wait for the cashier to offer you your Costco receipt before continuing on your way.
How to Visa Default Credit Card on Apple Pay
Before you go to your local Costco to use Apple Pay, take a moment to set your Visa card as your default payment option to make checkout easier.
Remember that the first payment card you add to your Apple Wallet will become your default card.
So, your Visa may already be your default card.
If it isn’t, open your iPhone’s Wallet app and execute these three steps:
1. Open the Wallet app.
2. Touch and hold the payment card you wish to use as your default.
3. Move the card in front of the other cards.
You are good to go.

Can I Use Apple Pay to Shop at Costco.com?
No!
The Costco website does not provide an option to use Apple Pay, which is quite redundant.
Instead, simply use your credit card as you normally would while purchasing online.
