Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas

Candidates who want to enrol in a master’s or doctoral program at a foreign university may apply for the Central Sector Scheme for National Overseas, an OBC scholarship.

Professional courses in subjects including engineering and medicine are offered, as well as management and agriculture. Each subject receives 25 scholarships each year, with 30% of those going to female applicants.

Candidates seeking a master’s degree are eligible for a 3-year fellowship, while those seeking a doctorate are awarded a 4-year fellowship. payment of visa fees, flights, payment for local travel, and incidental travelling allowance are additional benefits.

Application Procedure

1. Applicants must receive an application form from the Indian government’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

2. Complete the necessary fields and affix the pertinent files that are listed in the application.

3. When all necessary procedures have been completed, return it to the Ministry.

4. Candidates who are employed must submit the application through their employment. Such candidates must additionally include their pay stubs and information of their tax assessment.

Selection Procedure

OBC Scholarship Merit for Delhi Students

The Merit Scholarship for OBC Students is a scholarship program open to OBC students enrolled in grades 6 through 12.

Additionally, students pursuing professional programs like engineering or medicine are eligible for the prize.

The maximum monthly OBC scholarship amount for students enrolled in technical courses is INR 1620; the maximum annual obc scholarship amount for other courses is INR 4500.

Students in grades six through twelve are qualified.

Applicants for professional programs must have earned at least 60% in their Class 12 diploma or its equivalent.

Application Procedure

1. Applicants must go to e-District Delhi and complete the necessary information. There isn’t an offline OBC scholarship application form, so the entire process is completed online.

2. Uploading required papers includes income certificate, caste certificate, copy of bank passbook, fee receipt, passport-sized photo, and Aadhar card.

National Fellowship

The National Fellowship for OBC is a scholarship that is administered by the Government of India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Its goal is to support OBC scholarship plan students who want to pursue additional degrees and courses financially.

There are 300 scholarships available for Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) and Junior Research Fellows (JRFs). All universities approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are eligible to participate in the program.

The JRF fellowship lasts for two years, but candidates can apply for a three-year extension as an SRF as long as their research is forward-thinking.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates must be OBC and have supporting documentation for their status.

2. The combined income of the household from all sources should not exceed INR 6,00,000.

4. Candidates who identify as transgender may apply. Reservations will be granted in accordance with the guidelines established by the Indian government.

Application Procedure

Post-Matric Scholarship

Pre-Matric Scholarship

Pre-matric Scholarships are given to OBC kids who are enrolled in government or accredited private institutions to pursue pre-matriculation. A stipend of up to INR 500 is given to each student each month.
