Blue and Gold Scholarship Review
The Blue and Gold grant is based on self-reported facts on the entrance application, and the institution reserves the right to rescind or modify your grant after confirming your sixth-semester academic information when formal documentation is presented.
If you enrol and receive the Blue and Gold Scholarship, you agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions, as outlined.

Renewal Criteria
- Cumulative GPA 3.25 or above
- Complete 24 or more semester hours every academic year.
The grade point average and hours completed are assessed at the conclusion of each spring semester to determine renewability.
Students are notified by Loper email if they do not match the renewal conditions and hence lose their scholarship.
Conditions for Scholarship
- Must begin no later than one year after high school graduation. If you choose to wait until the second semester after graduation to enrol for the first time, you must notify the Office of Financial Aid in writing by August 1. During the fall semester, you are not allowed to enrol in another school.
- Full-time enrollment at UNK requires 12 or more credits every semester. If you do not enrol for a semester, you will lose your scholarship. On the last day of the first week of school, enrollment status will be evaluated (drop and add week). If you are not enrolled full-time at that moment, your scholarship will be cancelled and forfeited.
- The Blue and Gold Scholarships may not be transferred to another university (including any NU System universities).
- Will be applied to summer sessions, even those with enrollments less than full-time.
- Your eligibility will expire once you have attempted 120 credit hours or have earned a bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first.
- After the first week of school, the scholarship amount will be based on the student’s enrollment status. If a course is dropped during the institution’s refund period, the amount will be adjusted.
- The grant will not be applied to the account until the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions receives the required documents (a high school transcript and official test results).
