USQ Scholarships: A scholarship is financial aid given to a student for the purpose of attending school. It may be given based on academic accomplishment or other factors, some of which may include financial necessity. For further details on how this scholarship is not exempted, continue reading.

USQ Scholarships

There are many different kinds of scholarships, the two most popular being need- and merit-based.

The department or donor providing the scholarship determines the standards for choosing the recipients, and the grantor specifies exactly how the funds are to be used.

The money is used to pay for tuition, books, room and board, and other expenses that are directly related to a student’s tuition at the university.

About the USQ Scholarships

Scholarships are typically awarded using a variety of factors, including – but not limited to, academic achievement, departmental and community involvement, employment experience, areas of study, and financial need.

USQ Scholarships is divided into three(3) groups as listed below:

1. Study Starter Grant: To help new students handle the financial burden of starting university work in an undergraduate program at UniSQ.

2. Study Support Grant: To give continuing students financial assistance so they can manage the price of attending a university while enrolled in a UniSQ undergraduate program.

3. Indigenous Student Success Program: To aid undergraduate or graduate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are struggling financially.

USQ Scholarships Programme

The Study Starter Award, which has a $3000 value, offers new students financial assistance as they negotiate the costs of attending college. Students attending UniSQ who hail from low- to middle-income families are encouraged to apply.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applications will also be given consideration, as well as applicants from rural Australian towns and remote or extremely remote communities.

The grant will open for applications in Semesters/Trimesters 1, 2 & 3 2024.

Please be aware that if your application for a Study Starter Award is approved, the funds won’t be disbursed until roughly four weeks following the semester’s first census date.

Consider asking for an interest-free student financial loan if you rely on a grant to pay for your textbooks and other supplies.

For more details and application forms, please visit the student financial loan website.

In 2023, there will only be a small number of grants offered.
