Fees and Finance

Students from outside the UK pay international fees, however, many degrees are reasonably priced and involve a year in industry.

Undergraduate prices vary from £21,000 to £26,000 (excluding clinical degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science), while postgraduate fees range from £19,000 to £33,000.

The University of Liverpool has a global reputation for pioneering teaching and research by outstanding academics who tackle some of the world’s most difficult issues.

The REF 2021 classifies 91% of the University’s research as world-leading or globally good. Nine Liverpool research units received top ten rankings for their excellent effect, and 94% of the university’s research impact is now deemed ‘outstanding’ or ‘very substantial’.

University of Liverpool Accommodation

The university offers students a home away from home in a variety of award-winning, superior student accommodations, including the Best University Halls (National Student Housing Awards 2021).

With approximately 4,500 single-occupancy rooms, students can select between catered and self-catered alternatives in either of the city campus dormitories, which include libraries, a sports facility, and the Guild of Students.

The city core is about a 10-minute walk away, as is the Greenbank student town, which is nestled in the magnificent countryside around three miles from the university campus.

Living Costs

Liverpool, with over 60,000 students, is one of the most affordable student cities in the United Kingdom. However, living expenditures can vary greatly based on lifestyle and choice of lodging, but often range between £900 to £1400 per month (this includes housing, food, study expenses, phone, transit, and social activities).

University of Liverpool’s Location

Liverpool, home of The Beatles and Liverpool and Everton Football Clubs, boasts more museums, theatres, and galleries than any other city in the UK outside of London.

It also features an unbelievable selection of stores and restaurants to suit all interests and budgets, as well as more than 250 pubs and clubs.

Liverpool is located in northern England and has great transit connectivity to the rest of the UK. Having two international airports so close to the university, Liverpool John Lennon Airport (20 minutes from campus) and Manchester Airport (about one hour from campus), gives easy access and daily flights to numerous European countries, important international hubs, and global destinations.
