About UNILAG
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is a Nigerian university with an international reputation, headquartered in Akoka, Lagos State.
The institution was formed in 1962 and is one of Nigeria’s five first-generation universities. It now has three campuses in the Lagos Mainland.
Two of its campuses are in Yaba (the main campus in Akoka and the newly built campus at the old School of Radiography), but its College of Medicine is in Surulere’s Idi-Araba.
The Lagos lagoon primarily encircled its main campus, which spans 802 acres. In terms of admissions, UNILAG has remained one of the most competitive in the country.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria has officially certified and/or recognized the University of Lagos.

UNILAG Admission Requirements For 2024
The following are the prerequisites for individuals seeking admission to UNILAG via JAMB (UTME):
1. In a maximum of one (1) sitting, a minimum of 5 credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE).
2. For your course, you must select the appropriate JAMB subject combination.
3. To get admitted to the University of Lagos, candidates must score at least 200 on the recently completed JAMB UTME exam.
4. UNILAG should be your first choice at a university.
5. To be eligible for admission, if any, is available for the year, you must participate in the UNILAG POST UTME/SCREENING.
6. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
UNILAG Requirements For Direct Entry (DE) 2024
The following are the prerequisites for candidates seeking admission to the University of Lagos via Direct Entry:
1. In a maximum of one (1) sitting, a minimum of 5 credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE).
2. Candidates must have passed two subjects relating to their field of study at ‘A’ level/IJMB.
3. Passes in related topics at JUPEB/A Level.
4. For your course of choice, a degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in a related discipline is required.
5. Candidates for direct entrance must acquire the UNILAG Direct Entry form from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the UNILAG Portal.
6. Passed the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates with a minimum of merit.
