What is the TS ePASS Scholarship?

The Telangana State Government launched the TS ePASS initiative with the goal of advancing education.

The main goal of the program is to give reserved quota post-matriculation education students financial support if they have been having trouble paying for their tuition.

The program also provides incentives for students to study more about the topic they are interested in and acquire a degree.

Applications for a free coaching program for the UPSC Civil Services exam and other competitive exams are also being accepted by the TSSC Study Circle.

Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible for TS ePASS scholarship:

1. Students on the SC and ST assistance program whose household income is less than or equivalent to Rs 2 lakh annually.

2. Welfare students from minority groups, BC, and EBC who live in rural areas and make less than Rs 1.5 lakh a year as a household.

3. Welfare students from BC, EBC, and minority groups who live in cities and have yearly family incomes of less than or equal to Rs 2 lakh.

4. Pupils on the disabled welfare program whose parents make less than or equivalent to Rs 1 lakh per year.

5. Intermediate courses are available to EBC students who were chosen for admission through the corporate college admissions program.

Who Cannot Apply for the Telangana ePass Scholarship?

The Telangana ePass scholarship is not available to the following people:

1. SC and ST applicants whose household income is more than Rs 2 lakh per year.

2. Students who do not fall under the disability, BC, EBC, SC, or ST categories.

3. BC, EBC, or disabled candidates with a family income above Rs 1 lakh per annum.

4. Students accepted on management or sponsored quota seats.

5. People taking online or part-time courses.

6. Students from economically disadvantaged classes enrolled in comparable or similar courses.

7. Students enrolled in courses through remote learning, open universities, and category B seats for M.B.B.S. and B.D.S.

Awards

The recipients of the several Telangana ePASS scholarships will receive different prizes. Among them are:

1. Telangana Pre-matric Scholarships for SC/ST/BC/PWD student

  • For ten months, kids in Classes 5 through 8 would get Rs 100 for boys and Rs 150 for girls.
  • Students in Classes 9 and 10 (day scholars) would receive books worth Rs 750 each year in addition to Rs 150 per month for ten months.
  • Students in Classes 9 and 10 (hostlers) would receive books worth Rs 1,000 annually in addition to Rs 350 per month for ten months.

2. Telangana Post-matric scholarships for SC/ST/BC/PWD Students

The annual tuition refund to students would range from Rs 850 for intermediate courses to Rs 6,90,000 for medical studies.

3. Telangana Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC/EBC Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship

  • The student will receive Rs 20,00,000
  • Education loan of Rs 10,00,000
  • Visa fees and passage grant

4. Telangana Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

  • Students will be awarded Rs 10,00,000 for fees and living expenses
  • Education loan of Rs 5,00,000

5. Telangana Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship for SC/ST Students

  • Students will be awarded Rs 10 lakh for fees and living expenses
  • Education loan for Rs 5 lakh
  • Visa fees or passage grant.

How to Apply

1. Go to Telangana Epass’s official website.

2. Choose the appropriate scholarship category based on your educational background by scrolling down.

3. There are now several variations of scholarships available for each category. Pick the scholarship that has the most relevance.

4. Select “Fresh Registration.”

5. You’ll be taken to an application form by your browser.

6. Complete the application by providing all necessary details and submitting all scanned copies of your documentation in accordance with the guidelines.

Documents Required

The following are the necessary documentation for post-matric scholarships:

1. The Aadhaar Card of the student

2. Latest passport-size photograph

3. Bonafide certificate covering the last 7 consecutive years of study

4. First page of the bank passbook, displaying the student’s name, Bank Account Number and IFSC code (not applicable for EBC students)

5. CET (Common Entrance Test) allotment order for CET courses

How to Renew the TS ePASS Scholarship?

To renew your application, just take the following easy actions:

1. Go to the official scheme website to get started.

2. The homepage lists a number of scholarship possibilities, such as the Overseas Scholarship Service, Post-Matric Scholarship Service, and Pre-Matric Scholarship Service.

3. From the list of options, select “Renewal Registration.”

4. Complete the application form with the necessary information. Along with other information, this will include your date of birth, Aadhar card number, SSC ID, email address, and father’s name.

5. Ensure that the application form is uploaded with all required papers.

6. To successfully renew your scholarship and finish submitting your application, click the “Submit” button.

How to check Telangana ePASS status?

1. Go to Telangana Epass’s official website.

2. Go to the scholarship page that corresponds to you and select “Know Your Application Status.”

3. Complete the application and select “Get Status.”

4. The status of your TS ePASS Scholarship will appear on the device’s screen.

Reasons for Rejection

If your application for TS ePASS has been denied, there may be one or more of the following causes.

1. Absence of the student

2. Applicant being admitted under the management quota

3. Previous sanction verification for renewal

4. Non-receipt of the renewal proposal

5. Recommendation not given by field officer

6. Claiming a scholarship for the same course level

7. Incorrect income information

8. Incorrect caste information

9. Incorrect year of study or course information

10. Applicant not being a bonafide student

11. Failure to submit income and caste certificate

12. Detained student
