The Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJE) of the Government of Rajasthan has launched various scholarship schemes to improve the socio-economic conditions of communities such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Special Backward Classes (SBC), as well as for disabled individuals, senior citizens, and women. To support this mission, the department has introduced a web portal, SJE, which provides detailed information about the state government’s schemes.

The last date to apply for the SJE Scholarship is March 31, 2024.

Accessing the SJE portal goes beyond just applying for scholarships. It offers a wide range of additional services. By registering with SJE, you can enjoy various benefits, including:

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

Post-Matric & CM Scholarship, Rajasthan

The candidate must belong to the following categories: SC, ST, OBC, SBC, EBC, or DNT. The student should be enrolled in Class 11 or 12 at a recognized school.

The annual family income should be below ₹2.5 lakh for SC, ST, and SBC students, ₹1 lakh for OBC and EBC students, ₹2 lakh for DNT students, and ₹5 lakh for state-level athletes studying at a national institution.

Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for EBC Students, Rajasthan

Students must belong to the General EBC category. The family’s annual income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.

This scholarship is available to students for both undergraduate and graduate studies. Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Backward Castes Students, Rajasthan.

The student applying for the scheme must belong to the SBC category and should be pursuing studies from Class XI to the Postgraduate level.

Families may receive a possible payout of ₹1,08,000 annually. Self-earners pursuing studies through distance learning or correspondence are also eligible to apply.

Applicants must belong to the SC category for the Dr. Ambedkar International Scholarship Scheme for SC Students in Rajasthan.

They must have completed their postgraduate studies with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.

Additionally, the student must not have been a PhD candidate at a foreign university in any of the subcategories mentioned in stipulation 6 of sections 3(2) and 4.

Benefits of the Scholarship

The SJE Scholarships play a crucial role in the student education system, especially for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who struggle to fund their studies.

The Government of Rajasthan has introduced these scholarship schemes to support deserving students. Candidates can apply for the SJE Scholarships to help fund their education.

The scholarship funds will be transferred directly to the selected candidates’ bank accounts using the Direct Bank Transfer Method (DBTM). The amount awarded will vary based on the type of scholarship and the eligibility criteria of the candidate.
