About the NDA

Nigerian Defence Academy is the only military training facility in Nigeria, having been established in 1964 and now housing approximately 4,500 cadet cadets.

In 1985, the Nigerian Defence School launched undergraduate and postgraduate programs to cognitively modernize the academy.

However, They were introduced to both Military Officers and Civilians who desire to pursue a postgraduate degree in a PGD, Masters, or Ph.D. program after finishing their university or polytechnic education.

Though the second type of PG students are inherently not fighters because they did not go through the rigorous combatant army training in the NDA.

NDA School Fees

NDA’s school fees for fresh students are very important, especially for freshers, as this could prevent you from participating in the semester examination, which is why you are expected to pay as and when due.

NDA school fees amount is not so different from the previous academic session except there is a need for review, which is solely at the discretion of the university’s senate.

Furthermore, the screening procedure for paying NDA school fees for the 2022/2023 academic year is the same as it was for the previous academic session.

NDA Acceptance Fee

Aside from the NDA Cadet school costs for the 2022/2023 session, which must be paid in full upon admission, we should not forget the acceptance fee, which is the first required nonrefundable price payable by new Cadets.

The current NDA Acceptance Fee is N35,000 for all newly accepted cadets.

So, based on both the school fees and the admission fee, the total school costs for NDA undergraduate fresh students is 80,000 Naira, while there may be some little changes or levies as the case may be, the aforementioned price is what the Academy requires.

NOTE: NDA’s school costs for new and returning students are paid per session rather than per semester, and that payment must be made solely through NDA’s site. You should never pay your fees using any other agency or platform beside the university’s site.

Admission Requirements

Aside from knowing the precise tuition/school costs due at NDA Kaduna, prospects or applicants should be thoroughly educated about the Academy’s admission requirements.

1. Do not be misled; the NDA operates similarly to other NDA’s site, with successful students receiving a degree in any of the disciplines provided after finishing the appropriate number of years and satisfying the Academy.

Admission standards are likewise consistent with those of other colleges.

2. Candidates seeking admission to the Nigerian Defence Academy must have a score of 180 or above in order to be considered.

3. Candidates must have at least five credit passes in appropriate courses as they pertain to their chosen program of study, which must include English language and mathematics.

4. Upon admittance, you will be needed to have a commissioned officer, that is, a military officer with the rank of Major, sign your form.
