Mike Rowe Scholarship aims to redefine the definition of a good education and a good job because they don’t think a four-year degree is the best path for most people. They want people to comprehend how skilled labor affects their lives, and we are sure that the solution must begin with a renewed respect for labor-intensive tasks.

Mike Rowe Scholarship

Through the Work Ethic Scholarship Program, Mike Rowe distributes a modest sum of money each year to assist individuals in obtaining the necessary training for in-demand specialized positions.

The prospects in the trades have been shown to be legitimate career options rather than alternatives.

When it comes to hard work, there is no alternative. Since their inception, they have granted or helped facilitate the granting of, more than $5 million in Work Ethic scholarships and other like-minded programs or initiatives that also work to close the skills gap.

How does Mike Rowe Define Work Ethic?

The S.W.E.A.T Pledge.

In 2008, Mike was trying to come up with a way to describe the traits he appreciates the most. The S.W.E.A.T. Pledge, which stands for “Skills and Work Ethics Aren’t Taboo,” is what he ultimately came up with.

It is a set of principles that emphasizes the value of personal accountability, delayed gratification, and a positive outlook, all of which we think every worker may benefit from adopting.

We’re fine with the fact that it’s not for everyone, full disclosure. However, it must be accepted and signed by everybody who applies for the Work Ethic Scholarship Program.

Work Ethic Scholarship Decisions are in.

“We were overwhelmed by the record number of applications we received from people who appreciate the importance of work ethic, personal responsibility, delayed gratification, and a positive attitude. We planned to give away $1,000,000 in scholarships, but we’ve upped our game. We’re excited to announce that we’ve selected 250 recipients this year who will receive a total of $1,500,000 in work ethic scholarships. A special thanks to everyone who applied, and congrats to this year’s recipients”
