Kalia Scholarship
The Kalia Scholarship, introduced and administered by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Government of Odisha, is designed for students pursuing undergraduate and other degree courses.
This scholarship is available to the children of marginal farmers. Awarded students can receive up to Rs. 65,000 per year.
Many farmers struggle to afford their children’s higher education, leading to dropouts. To address this issue, the Odisha government has launched the Kalia Scholarship 2024, which provides selected students with financial support of up to Rs. 65,000 annually.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Kalia Scholarship 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. The student must be a resident of Odisha.
2. The applicant should be a child of a marginal farmer.
3. The student must have been admitted to a higher education course at a government-recognized institute.
4. Admission should be based on merit; students admitted through management quota are not eligible.
5. The student must have completed their 10th examination.
6. Those who can self-finance their education are not eligible for the scholarship.
7. The applicant should be a child of a Kalia Yojana beneficiary.
8. NRI students are not eligible to apply.
9. The applicant should not be receiving benefits from any other scholarship or applying for additional scholarships.

Application Process
To apply for the Kalia Scholarship 2024, follow these steps:
1. Open your mobile or desktop browser and search for “Kalia Scholarship 2024 Apply Online,” then click on the official scholarship site.
2. Click on the “Register” button, read the Terms and Conditions, check the box to agree, and then click “Proceed.”
3. Enter your Aadhaar details and provide the OTP. You will receive login credentials; return to the site and log in.
4. Navigate to the Scholarship Application Dashboard, fill in all required information, and upload the necessary documents.
5. Review your application and click the “Submit” button.
6. Once the application is submitted, you will receive a notification confirming the completion of the process.
