8. To return to the record screen, tap back. After making revisions, you may also tap the back button to delete changes or save them as a draft before leaving the editor. Any adjustments you’ve made up to this point are saved when you save a draft.

9. To add information to your video, tap NEXT. Add a title (up to 100 characters) and select settings, such as video privacy, from this screen.

For creators between the ages of 13 and 17, the default video privacy option is private. Your default video privacy setting, if you’re 18 or older, is set to public. The setting for making a video public, private, or unlisted can be changed by anyone.

How to Upload Shorts

A computer’s short can be uploaded here:

1. Open YouTube Studio and log in.

2. Click CREATE in the top-right corner, followed by Upload videos.

3. Choose a brief video file:

  • 60 seconds maximum.
  • with a vertical or square aspect ratio.
  • (Optional) For our algorithm to recommend your short YouTube videos, please include #Shorts in the title or description.
  • Up to 15 short movies can be selected at once, but be sure to click EDIT DRAFT to finish filling out your video’s details before posting. Study up on video settings.
