How to block people on LinkedIn: Using your desktop computer or a mobile device, you can prevent a member from viewing your profile. A member will show up on your blocked list once you’ve blocked them. In most circumstances, the barred member won’t be informed of this action.

How to Block People on LinkedIn

Even though our skilled team and sophisticated technologies regularly employ techniques to guarantee members’ safety, some members could participate in harassing and abusive behavior.

Even though LinkedIn has regulations in place to prevent this kind of activity, there are situations when it still occurs and people wish to take independent action, like blocking member profiles.

How to Block People on LinkedIn

In order to block a member’s profile, follow these steps. If the member you want to block cannot be found, they might have:

1. Their Profile was Hibernated

2. Been taken off the website because of aggressive behavior that contravenes our user agreement. (Please note that if the member complies with certain requirements, depending on the seriousness of the activity, their account may become available.)

3. Blocked you.

4. Their account was closed.

Notes:

1. LinkedIn reserves the right to inform the person you are blocking whether you currently or in the past shared a LinkedIn Recruiter account with them.

2. On LinkedIn, you can block up to 1400 users.

3. After unblocking a member, you must wait 48 hours before re-blocking the same member.

4. Blocking a member will prevent their recommendations from showing up in your profile. You cannot currently reinstate suggestions from a member you blocked even if you unblock them.

To Block a Member from Viewing your Profile

1. Go to the person’s profile who you want to block.

2. Select Report/Block from the list by clicking the More… button located beneath the member’s profile picture.

3. From the What do you want to do? menu, choose Block [member name]. launch menu

4. To continue, click Block or Review your alternatives once again.

To Unblock a Member

Remove your device from your Apple ID Account to stop iMessages from synchronizing on Mac.

1. On your Mac, use the Safari browser. Go to the Apple ID website and sign in with your Apple ID account.

2. After logging in, scroll down to the “Devices” section, choose the Mac from your Apple ID, and then click the Remove from Account option.

If your Mac is taken off the Apple ID page, iMessages won’t sync with your device anymore.

Keeping someone from seeing your profile:

1. Go to the person’s profile who you want to block.

2. In the top right corner of the screen, tap the More symbol.

3. From the dropdown menu, select Report/Block.

4. Hit the Block button.

5. Tap Block in the confirmation pop-up window.

Using Android

A member’s ability to read your profile can be blocked by:

1. Access the desired person’s profile by going there.

2. On the screen, click the More button in the upper right corner.

3. When the drop-down menu appears, select Report/Block.

4. Press the Block button.

5. Choose Block from the confirmation pop-up menu.

Using Mobile Browser & Lite App

Keeping someone from seeing your profile:

1. Visit the person’s profile whose behavior you want to report or block.

2. Tap the More icon, then choose Block or Report from the list.

3. Block [member name] by tapping What are your plans?

4. Hit “Submit.”
