1. Denny’s – Tom Joyner Foundation Hungry for Education Scholarship
HBCU students must submit an essay of 200 words or less on the topic, “Describe your most memorable community service or activity to combat hunger.”
Scholarship Award: Up to 12 deserving students from HBCUs will receive a $2,500 scholarship

2. BASF/Alfred Chisholm Memorial Scholarship Fund
The scholarship is available to undergraduate sophomore, junior and senior students enrolled at HBCUs.
Applicants must complete the online application and upload the following materials: 2 letters of recommendation, a 250-word essay, and the most recent official transcript.
Award: up to $2,000

3. Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology
- For African-American Undergraduate Students
DFBSST identifies students through the assistance of Engineering and Science Department deans and professors at pre-selected, predominantly Black colleges and universities.
DFBSST requests the deans and faculty members to identify a specified number of students that they would like to be considered for scholarships and to pass on DFBSST scholarship application forms to these students.
Scholarship Award: up to $3,000 per year

4. Cappex $1,000 Easy College Money Scholarship (Monthly Essay Contest)

6. Diversity in Law Scholarship
Sutliff & Stout, Injury & Accident Law Firm is proud to sponsor a nationwide Diversity in Law Scholarship contest for minorities pursuing a legal career.
They are offering an annual $2,000 minority scholarship to be put towards legal education costs. To qualify, candidates must be accepted to, or currently enrolled in an accredited law school or paralegal program.

7. McDonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and McDonald’s are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Sixty-Three (63) scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship up to $15,000 for the 2023-2024 academic school year ($7,500 per semester), which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.
Application Deadline: March 27, 2024 (Noon EST).
8. Wanda I. McLaurin HBCU Scholarship
In honor of our mother Wanda, the Wanda I. McLaurin HBCU Scholarship will support ambitious students from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, or surrounding areas in New York who currently attend an HBCU.
This annual scholarship will support one student who fits the criteria and who wants to dedicate their studies to advance their own career as well as the livelihoods of disadvantaged people across the country.
