What to Know About E-Grantz Scholarship 

The E-Grantz Scholarship is an online portal managed by the Government of Kerala, India, designed to provide scholarships to students belonging to various minority and underprivileged communities in the state.

It aims to support the educational pursuits of students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.

Within a week of enrolling in any course, a student may submit a scholarship application on the official E-Grantz website (3.0). There are scholarships available on the portal for both pre-and post-matriculation.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Scholarships and programs on the E-Grantz site have pre-established eligibility requirements that applicants must meet before applying. The following criteria must be met to qualify:

Domicile – Applicants must be residents of Kerala.

Academic Qualification 

  • Must be enrolled in a pre-or post-matriculation program at an accredited board or university.
  • Must have applied for admission using the merit-based and reserved quotas.

Eligible Categories – Other Eligible Communities (OECs), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and other socially and economically underdeveloped communities

  • OECs and SC have no revenue restrictions.
  • The annual income cap for OBC candidates is one lakh rupees.
  • The annual income cap for people in other categories is one lakh rupees.

Courses Covered – Higher secondary, polytechnic, postgraduate, professional, and VHSE courses, as well as degrees and doctorates.

You need to have a few supporting documents on hand if you want to apply for the E-Grantz Scholarship. The necessary paperwork is listed below:

  • Identity Proof/ Age Proof: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License
  • Proof of admission
  • Caste certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Bank details

How to Apply for the e-Grantz Scholarship?

Applying through the online portal is a relatively simple process for the e-Grantz scholarship program. The application form-filling process is explained in detail here.

1. Visit the e-Grantz website to do so.

2. At the bottom, select the ‘One Time Registration’ button.

3. The applicant must input their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhar card and click “Validate Aadhar” to complete the process.

4. Complete the required fields, including your email address, password, birthdate, and mobile number.

5. Click “register” to continue.

6. Following registration, the candidate must provide their email address and password to access the portal.

7. Basic information, including a caste certificate and a domicile certificate, is available after logging onto the service.

The printed copy of the application must be given to the head of the institution where the candidate’s admission is being processed, together with any necessary supporting documentation such as a caste certificate, a domicile certificate, and a mark sheet.

How to Check Application Status

Through the online site, applicants can also monitor the status of their applications in real time. The procedures are as follows:

  • Visit the E-Grantz 3.0 official portal.
  • The ‘Track Application’ button is at the bottom of the main page.
  • Click the ‘Track Application’ button after entering your Aadhaar number and birthdate.
  • The application’s specifics will show up on the screen. The display will include information such as the status of the application, application number, name of the scheme, applicant’s name, application location, date of receipt, etc.
