Chick-fil-A Scholarships: Chick-fil-A, Inc. has given more than 80,000 team members scholarships worth more than $136 million since 1973. Applicants must be employed by a Chick-fil-A franchise operator, a Chick-fil-A, Inc.-operated restaurant, or an S. Truett Cathy (STC) brand restaurant in order to qualify for a scholarship or educational assistance.

Chick-fil-A Scholarships

Each year, Chick-fil-A offers restaurant Team Members across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico the opportunity to apply for college scholarships through the Remarkable Futures Scholarships initiative.

Chick-fil-A Scholarships

Since 1973, we’ve been able to invest more than $136 million in scholarships to help more than 80,000 Team Members pursue higher education and achieve their remarkable future whether it’s with Chick-fil-A or elsewhere.

Through the Remarkable FuturesTM Scholarship program, Chick-fil-A annually provides Team Members who work at franchised, company-owned or connected restaurants with two scholarship opportunities:

  • The True InspirationTM Scholarship ($25,000)
  • The Leadership Scholarship ($1,000 or $2,500)

Both full-time and part-time students may use the scholarships, which may be used at any accredited college, university, or technical/vocational institution

1. True Inspiration™ Scholarship

Award amount: $25,000

To be eligible to receive this scholarship, you must:

1. Be an employee at a franchised, company-owned, and/or affiliated restaurant (including Dwarf House Group, LLC (Dwarf House®, Truett’s Chick-fil-A®, Truett’s Luau®, Chick-fil-A® of Edgewater, Truett’s Grill®)) at the time of application.*

2. Be a Team Member at the time award is presented by the Operator, Interim Manager, or Executive General Manager, as applicable.

3. Be a postsecondary undergraduate or graduate student or planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the 2022-2023 academic year.

4. Be recommended by an Operator, Interim Manager, or Executive General Manager (depending on the Restaurant where the Team Member is employed), addressing the Team Member’s professional achievement.**

5. Show how you demonstrated care and service in the twelve (12) months prior to application. You will be asked to share in what ways you were able to make an impact on your community, friends, and family over the last 12 months both inside and outside of the Restaurant.

6. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) for U.S. candidates. (For Canadian and Puerto Rican candidates, transcripts are reviewed separately and scored accordingly.) Academic awards and recognition will be considered. Applicants are required to upload a transcript that displays their name, school name, classes taken, and GPA.

Leadership Scholarship

Award amount: $1,000 or $2,500

To be eligible to receive this scholarship, you must:

1. Be an employee at a franchised, company-owned, and/or affiliated restaurant (including Dwarf House Group, LLC (Dwarf House®, Truett’s Chick-fil-A®, Truett’s Luau®, Chick-fil-A® of Edgewater, Truett’s Grill®)) at the time of application.

Tuition Discounts

Award amount: Up to 30% discount

In addition to scholarships, Chick-fil-A has a network of colleges and universities, offering tuition discounts and grants to all our Team Members (and sometimes their families, too) through a partnership with Scholarship America.

The Tuition Reduction Network is a list of more than 100 colleges and universities, which includes public, private, and online colleges and universities throughout the United States.

All Team Members have access to the discounts, grants, and benefits offered through these schools and can combine them with either of the above scholarships.

Selection Process

Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators nominate Team Members who possess strong leadership skills, demonstrate financial need, a commitment to academic achievement, and a desire to make a positive impact on their communities.
