Bill Gates Scholarship: This scholarship is given out annually to outstanding student leaders with the goal of assisting them in reaching their full potential. Read on for more detailed information about the scholarship.
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households.
About the Gates Scholarship
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s long-standing commitment to assisting exceptional minority students from low-income families to realize their full potential is continued with the Gates Scholarship Program in 2017.
A last-dollar scholarship can help high-potential, low-income minority students succeed in their coursework, graduate from college, and continue to be leaders throughout their life. This esteemed scholarship program is founded on research to that effect.
Along with financial assistance, The Gates Scholarship will offer Scholars additional support by interacting with them and their institutions in a variety of ways to make sure they have access to the tools and services they require from the first to the last day of classes, through graduation, and the transition to their desired careers.
Scholarship Award
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the method utilized by a Scholar’s institution or university will be used to determine the whole cost of attendance that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution.
