Bangor University Bachelors Scholarships: Bangor University has offered over 300+ undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs to a target audience for the university’s international scholarships. So if you are an international student, you are eligible.
All international students at Bangor University in the UK will be eligible for these scholarships; there is no separate scholarship application.
Bangor is eager to provide more assistance to students, as one might anticipate from an institution that places such a strong focus on student support.
For new and returning students, bursaries and scholarships totaling more than £1 million are offered.
Bangor University Bachelors Scholarships
When overseas students decide to study in the UK, Bangor University is aware that the expense of living and tuition can quickly add up.
Therefore, in an effort to assist you to save money, Bangor University has established an International Scholarship that might contribute toward your tuition costs.
All undergraduate courses will be offered to begin in September 2022, while postgraduate taught courses will begin in September 2022 and January 2023.
Scholarship Amount
- Undergraduate: Up to £4,000 for Year 1
- Postgraduate: Up to £3,000
Scholarship Eligibility
1. This scholarship will be awarded based on a number of factors, including course preference, academic performance, a personal statement, academic references, skills and experience, and residence.
2. The University alone and exclusively reserves the right to award the scholarship.
3. You must be partially or entirely self-funded. The Scholarship is not available to applicants who are completely sponsored by a third party.
4. For students only who are paying International Tuition Fee Levels.
5. Available to candidates for online learning.
How to Apply
Application for scholarships is not necessary. When they submit their applications to study at Bangor University through our application system or UCAS, all international candidates will be taken into consideration for these scholarships. The Offer Letter will include a confirmation of the result.
Conditions (for all Scholarship Winners)
The scholarship cannot be carried over to the following year and is only good for classes beginning in January 2023.
There are no scholarships available for years two through four of study; the scholarship is only for the first year.
The Bangor University Scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship (with the exception of the Alumni Discount).
Vice-Chancellor Scholarships
Bangor University is pleased to announce the Vice-Scholarship, Chancellor’s premier award for outstanding international students.
The university wants to grant scholarships to students who have excelled academically and made significant contributions to their community, profession, and extracurricular activities.
They are seeking students who share the university’s values of ambition, inclusivity, integrity, sustainability, and transformation and who will contribute significantly to all facets of university life.

Scholarship Eligibility
The Vice-Chancellor scholarship is for outstanding international applicants with:
For Undergraduate:
1. Excellent Academic Background: Students with at least 50% of their subjects or courses anticipated to receive an A grade or equivalent
2. Notable accomplishments in extracurricular activities, which could include a variety of activities like volunteer and community work, sporting prowess, artistic excellence, leadership roles, fund-raising, representing their region or country at conferences on a national or international level, quality internships, or demonstrated entrepreneurship skills.
3. Only Bangor University undergraduate students who are pursuing a full 3- or 4-year degree on campus are eligible for the scholarship. Students who have progressed standing into years 2 or 3 or partner students articulating into those years are not eligible to participate.
Postgraduate Taught
1. Excellent academic record; earned or on track to earn the equivalent of a first-class bachelor’s degree in the UK.
2. Committed to aiding future generations and working for sustainable development in your own nation.
3. You must fund yourself. The Scholarship is not available to applicants who are completely sponsored by a third party.
4. For students only who are paying International Tuition Fee Levels.
The aforementioned scholarship is only available for courses taken on-campus full-time:
- Not available to students attending the International College of Bangor University (BUIC).
- Not available to non-graduate students, such as Learn abroad
How to Apply
Before you may apply:
1. You must have received an offer to study at Bangor University.
2. Verify your eligibility for the scholarship and read the terms given below very carefully.
3. Fill out the Vice-Chancellor Scholarship Application before the 15 November 2022 deadline.
4. The academic institution will review all eligible applications before making a selection, and the chosen applicant will be notified by the start of December 2022.
Winners of undergraduate scholarships must have either accepted their offer through our direct application procedure or selected Bangor University as their Firm Choice in UCAS.

Conditions (for all Scholarship Winners)
Students must have complied with all academic and other requirements of their offer by 1 September 2022 for the September intake and by 1 December 2022 for the January intake (unless enrolled in a Pre-sessional English course with ELCOS).
Recipients will be required to serve as scholarship ambassadors, promoting the university while they are still students and in the future when they are alumni.
The scholarship cannot be carried over to the subsequent academic year and is only available to students beginning their studies in September 2022 (or January 2023 for postgraduate applicants).
Your tuition payments will be reduced by the amount of the scholarships.
Only the first year will be covered by the scholarship. In the following years, there won’t be any scholarships given out.
This scholarship will replace any other Bangor University Scholarships already awarded. It will not be awarded in addition to any other scholarships (including the alumni discount scholarship).
All scholarships will be awarded entirely at the University’s discretion.

Deans Scholarships
The Dean’s Scholarship is merit-based and intended for students who have excelled academically in past or present coursework.
Students who earned an A Grade/First-class average or an equivalent on their qualifying exams will be eligible to apply.
Courses:
Available for all undergraduate programs beginning in September 2022 and for taught postgraduate courses beginning in September 2022 and January 2023.
Scholarship Amount
- Undergraduate: Up to £6,000 for Year 1
- Postgraduate Taught: Up to £5,000
Scholarship Eligibility
This scholarship will be awarded based on a number of factors, including course preference, academic performance, a personal essay, references from academics, skills and experience, and residence.
The scholarship is not given to every applicant and will only be given at the university’s discretion.
Undergraduate
Students who have already achieved or are predicted to achieve an A grade or equivalent in at least 50% of their subjects/courses
Postgraduate Taught
1. Students who have already earned or are on track to earn the equivalent of a UK first-class bachelor’s degree are not eligible for these scholarships. This also applies to candidates who are completely sponsored by a third party.
2. UK applicants are ineligible for the aforementioned scholarships.
3. Only full-time on-campus courses are eligible for the aforementioned scholarships.
4. Only students seeking a full 3- or 4-year degree on campus at Bangor University are eligible for the undergraduate scholarship. Students who have advanced entrance into years 2 or 3 or partner students who are articulating into those years are not eligible.
