Balanced Man Scholarship

Balanced Man Scholarship

The Balanced Man Scholarship recognizes incoming freshmen who achieve academically, display leadership, and prioritize health and well-being.

Sigma Phi Epsilon is a fraternity for exceptional men. We hold one other to high standards and aim to achieve in all aspects of life.

Every member of SigEp strives to be a better man. Our chapter’s primary principle is that men must work consistently to keep a good mind and body.

Four aspects of life that all men must strive for:

  • Leader
  • Scholar
  • Athlete
  • Gentleman

Since 1995, our local scholarship rewarded young men who exhibit the characteristics we feel are essential for maintaining a healthy life.

Benefits of Scholarships

The application process provides an excellent opportunity for seniors to meet current students at The University of Tennessee.

It helps young men prepare for one of the most critical times in their life. The process of selecting recipients for our scholarship allows prospects to practice interview skills, which many young men lack and are critical for future success.

The application assists applicants in determining both their strengths and potential flaws.

Applicants and winners are under no obligation to join Sigma Phi Epsilon or any other fraternity at UT.
