AOPA Scholarships can be used for flight training costs associated with obtaining a primary pilot license or advanced rating. AOPA Scholarship Program 

The AOPA Flight Training Scholarship Program 2024 is available for Training and Short Courses degrees in the subject of Flight Training. You may apply for the scholarship here. The deadline for sending your application is February 9.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots give this scholarship Association (AOPA) and has a value of Partial Funding, USD 2,500 to USD 14,000. This award is offered to citizens and permanent residents of the United States.

  • Partial funding, USD 2,500 to USD 14,000.

AOPA Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident who is at least 16 years old at the time of application.
  • Students must have a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate at the time of application.
  • The candidate must be a current member of AOPA at the time of application and when the scholarship is given. Military, student, and AV8RS members are all able to apply.
  • Must not have passed the FAA practical exam at the time of application.
