AOPA Scholarships can be used for flight training costs associated with obtaining a primary pilot license or advanced rating. AOPA Scholarship Program
The AOPA Flight Training Scholarship Program 2024 is available for Training and Short Courses degrees in the subject of Flight Training. You may apply for the scholarship here. The deadline for sending your application is February 9.
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots give this scholarship Association (AOPA) and has a value of Partial Funding, USD 2,500 to USD 14,000. This award is offered to citizens and permanent residents of the United States.

AOPA Scholarship Eligibility
- Applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident who is at least 16 years old at the time of application.
- Students must have a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate at the time of application.
- The candidate must be a current member of AOPA at the time of application and when the scholarship is given. Military, student, and AV8RS members are all able to apply.
- Must not have passed the FAA practical exam at the time of application.

How to Apply?
To access the General Application, select “Sign In” from the upper right-hand corner of the screen. If you do not already have an account, please create one before attempting to log in.
Your AOPA credentials will not allow you access to Academic Works. We recommend signing in with a modern browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari).
After completing your General Application, the system will automatically match you to all eligible scholarships based on the information you supplied.
