Aikyashree Scholarship
The Aikyashree scholarship program is part of the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC), which was established to assist worthy West Bengali students in their pursuit of higher education.
Under the Aikyashree Scholarship program, the West Bengal government and its subsidiary boards offer financial aid to deserving, exemplary, and economically disadvantaged students in the state so they can pursue higher education.
In order to give minority students in West Bengal (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains) more socioeconomic advantages and educational chances, WBMDFC launched the Aikyashree Scholarship Programme.

Under the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC), there are numerous scholarship programs. 4. Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)
5. Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are different for the different types of Aikyashree scholarships.
West Bengal Pre-matric Scholarship (SC/ST Students)
1. The student needs to be a West Bengali citizen.
2. He or she needs to be enrolled in either Class 9 or 10.
3. The pupil must fall within the SC or ST classification.
4. The student’s family income should not be more than ₹ 2 lakh per year.
West Bengal Post-matric Scholarship
1. The student needs to be a West Bengali citizen.
2. The student has to fall under one of the OBC, SC, or ST categories.
3. Students enrolled in classes 11, 12, graduation, or post-graduation are eligible to apply for this grant.
4. The student’s family income should not surpass ₹ 1 lakh for OBC students, ₹ 2 lakh for SC students, and ₹ 2.5 lakh for ST students annually.
Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal
1. The student needs to be a West Bengali citizen.
2. There ought to be a female student here.
3. Applicants must have earned a qualifying Class 12 diploma from any board.
4. The student must have aspirations of attending a reputable West Bengali institution to further their studies in engineering, medicine, or basic science.
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)
1. If the student is not seeking a general undergraduate or postgraduate degree, they must be pursuing graduation in engineering, medical, or technical/professional courses.
2. The student must have received at least 75% of the possible points in class 10 in order to be eligible for higher secondary education or a diploma.
3. The student must have received at least 75% of the possible points in class 12 if they are enrolled in an undergraduate program.
4. The student’s family income should not be more than ₹ 2.5 lakh per year.
5. Scholarships will be awarded to worthy students based on a merit-cum-means formula.
6. The grant is also open to students attending state-aided universities who are enrolled in M.Phil. and PhD programs.
Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal
1. The pupil needs to live in West Bengal.
2. He or she ought to reside in a state where Hindi is not spoken.
3. The student needs to have completed any one of the following degree programs: PG, higher secondary, graduation, Madhyamik, or any other program that is comparable.
4. The student must have received at least 60% in Hindi in the last qualifying exam on the first attempt.
How to Apply
Students need to take the following actions in order to proceed with the Aikyashree application process:
1. Student Registration
- Go to the WBMDFC portal’s main website or select the Aikyashree Scholarship portal directly.
- Select “New Registration.”
- Choose your Institute’s District.
- In the registration form, provide the following information: Name, District, Guardians Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Bank Account Number. Then, click Submit and Continue.
2. Scheme Eligibility
- Enter the following information in the web page’s scheme eligibility column: present institution, address, class or course name, last exam passed, board name, year of last exam pass, percentage of marks earned, annual family income, and email address.
- After carefully reviewing the information, select the “Submit & Proceed” tab.
3. Registration Completion
- A temporary User ID will be generated following the previous step.
- The password will be delivered to the email address or inbox, so check there.
3. Student’s Login
- Enter your User ID and Password to access the Student Log-in.Within the window
- Enter the details for your bank account, academic records, and basic information.
- Change the password (it’s required) and click “Submit” for further security.
4. Final Submission
- Provide the information in the Basic Information section.
- Click “Submit” to continue.
- Next, fill in the information in the Academic Information section.
- Click “Submit” to continue.
- Complete the bank account details and make sure
- Lastly, select the Pre-View tab to confirm all the information.
- Select the Final Submit tab.
5. Verification and Print Out
- Make sure the information entered in the previous step is accurate.
- Take a hard copy of the application form after verifying the data entered in the appropriate spaces.
- Send the application to the relevant institution together with a photocopy of your bank passbook, which has your account number and IFSC code on it.
